We are finally coming to the end of 2009 and what a year it was. It was definetly an exciting time for music! We just wanna take some time to talk about some of our favorite releases of the year.
In no particular order some of our favorite records/releases/artist were:
Ellie Goulding
Everything this girl has done so far as been truly amazing. She blew up big time this year and I am sure 2010 will be huge for her.
Favorite Track – Starry Eyed
Imogen Heap – Ellipse
We have all been a huge fan of hers since the beginning. Her latest album again was nothing but great songs and a great late night listen.
Favorite Track – First Train Home
Bat for Lashes – Two Suns
This record is hands down amazing. Being a fan of hers since her last record “Fur and Gold” I knew this record would be worth checking out.
Favorite Track – Glass
Paramore – Brand New Eyes
Not even gonna lie I have been a huge fan of Paramore since the beginning. I have loved everything they have ever done. This record was amazing and it showed a much more mature side of Paramore.
Silversun Pickups – Swoon
Didn’t give this band a chance till I saw their video on some late night TV. This band reminds me a lot of one my my all time favorite bands “Smashing Pumpkins” so I was instantly a fan.
Favorite Track – Growing Old Is Getting Old
Now some of my favorite metal records of the year!
Darkest Hour – The Eternal Return
Great friends of mine and one of my all time favorite bands came back with one of their sickest records to date. I remember being on the bus with Mike saying “Dude go back to writing stuff like Sadist Nation” I guess he listened and delivered!
Job For A Cowboy – Ruination
Another band that is good friends of mine released what I think is their best record to date. They stepped up their game big time with this record.
Rise And Fall – Our Circle Is Vicious
This entire record front to back is in your face hardcore at its finest.
And of course our favorite electronic albums/artist
Deadmau5 – For Lack of a Better Name
It’s Deadmau5..thats all there is to say. I have a feeling 2010 will be an even BIGGER year for the Mau5.
Caspa/Excision/16 Bit and a ton of other dubstep also was on our top playlist this year. Dubstep got huge this year and its only gonna get bigger next year.
And some other artist you should check out!
School of Seven Bells
Ladyhawke
Delphic
Innterpartysystem
And of course LightsoverLA!
We have a big year ahead of us and we will be hitting 2010 hard right away. Keep on the lookout for a lot of remixes as well as a lot of originals to be released very soon!
So here is a good-bye to 2009 and a warm and inviting welcome to 2010!

There was also some guitars stolen one is a glitter green color that is one of a kind. Basically if we can find any of these items it’ll be a good way to find out who stole this stuff.
Please if you see any of this stuff on craigslist, pawn shops etc please email us at lightsoverla@gmail.com or call us at (209) 565-2389.
Thanks,
LightsoverLA

So we have been MIA for a bit since our show in LA.
Since the show we have been busy in the lab and what not and we have a few things coming out this week.
We just finished the remix of “Keep Up” by our good friends Hyper Crush. That will be out pretty soon and we are stoked to have it done and ready to be put out.
We also just finished our first original track and will be releasing that this week via the blogz.
A couple other remixes will be getting released in the coming weeks as well so keep your ears open for those.
We have also been throwing around the idea of releasing a small free sample/loop pack. I think sometime next week we are gonna get into the studio and just start sampling a ton of different sounds. We will be giving it out for free so all you producers out there keep on the lookout for that as well.
And that is it for now!
We did a show in LA on the 10th of October. Here is the mix we did.
We are working on a lot of new things we will be posting new stuff in the coming weeks.
